The best way to remove dog smell from your carpet and floor is very simple.  First, find the contaminated area which you can find by just simply looking for urine stains or you may use a UV light in a dark room.  Next, you need to perform a good vacuum to the contaminated areas.  Then you need to use hydrogen peroxide which will remove the stain and odor by simply spraying the affected area.  Finally, allow to dry for about 8 hours, vacuum again and re-apply  hydrogen peroxide.  ( hydrogen peroxide is a user friendly product and you can find stronger hydrogen peroxide at a beauty supply.  Use at your own risk.  Not recommend for natural fiber such a wool, cotton,etc.)
