How do I keep my carpet and rug clean for a longer time? This is a very common question that I receive during my 5 years in the carpet cleaning industry.  My first question is how often do you vacuum? Do you have mats by each entrance door of the house? Do you clean you carpet using products that leave residue? Do you change you air conditioning filter or leave you windows open? All of  these are reasons as to why your carpet gets dirty in less than 6 months. After 6 months you need to start thinking in getting a  professional carpet cleaning services.



  1.  Vacuum you carpet. This is very important to keep your carpet clean for a longer time, and help preserve them even longer.
  1. Mats at each entrance of the house. This would keep the sand, soil, or any debris out of you carpet and rug.
  1. Clean you carpet by yourself, this is not the best idea but if you decide to do it, make sure not to use high alkaline products. If you leave residue in you carpet, it would attract more soil.
  1. Change air filter regularly because you carpet is like a dust sponge. So all the dust and odor that came out from you air conditioning, will stay in your carpet.
  1.   Clean you Carpet between 6 moths and 1 years depend of the traffic and the maintenance, that way you carpet can have a longer life.
